Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret structural fabrication drawings, isometric sketches, and assembly blueprints.
Fabrication & Assembly: Mark, measure, cut, file, and assemble structural components (e.g., beams, columns, supports, platforms, equipment skids) using various hand and power tools.
Alignment & Fit-up: Ensure precise alignment and fit-up of structural members prior to welding, utilizing plumb bobs, levels, squares, and measuring instruments.
Material Handling: Operate and direct the safe use of lifting equipment (e.g., slings, chain blocks, overhead cranes) for positioning heavy structural members.
Piping Layout: Plan, layout, and install piping systems (e.g., for water, gas, steam, process fluids) according to P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams) and isometric drawings.
Cutting & Threading: Measure, cut, thread, bend, and hammer pipes (various materials like CS, SS, PVC) to required specifications using threading machines, pipe cutters, and benders.
Assembly & Testing: Assemble and install pipe components, including valves, flanges, fittings, gaskets, and supports (hangers, clamps).
Leak Testing: Assist in conducting pressure tests (pneumatic or hydrostatic) to ensure the integrity and leak-free operation of the installed piping systems.
